The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its weekly soccer awards for the week of September 15-21.
There were no nominations for the MCAC Women's Soccer weekly awards.
Riverland Community College goalkeeper Ethan Brown earned the MCAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper-of-the-Week award. In 180 minutes of action during the week, Brown had eight saves on 11 shots on goal, giving up only three goals in the Blue Devils' two games. Guilherme Baccarin, defender for Riverland Community College, earned the Defensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Baccarin anchored a defense that held their opponents to three goals over two games. He took one shot that was saved. Owen Spaeth, forward for Riverland Community College, earned the Offensive Field Athlete-of-the-Week award. Spaeth took five shots, with four of them on goal. He scored the opening goal in the game against Alexandria Tech, which resulted in a 2-2 tie, and assisted on the game-winning goal against Minnesota West.
