MCAC Volleyball Athletes of the Week: Week of September 22-28

Rochester, MN-

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its volleyball athlete of the week awards for the week of September 22-28. 

Carmen Nerison, setter for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned the MCAC South Division Offensive Athlete of the Week award. In eight sets, Nerison tallied 84 assists and six service aces to help her Yellowjackets go 2-0 throughout the week, with one of the wins over #2 Minnesota West. She also hit .400, while digging 16 balls and blocking two. Ridgewater College libero, Hannah Magnuson, earned the MCAC South Division Defensive Athlete of the Week award. Magnuson dug 49 balls in 12 sets, an average of 4.1 digs per set, and she had two service aces and six assists. Magnuson led the defensive effort for the Warriors, who went 3-0 this week. 

Northland Community and Technical College setter, Kaydence Augustine, earned the MCAC North Division Offensive Athlete of the Week honor. In nine sets, Augustine had 97 assists, an average of 10.77 per set. She also hit .250 and had two service aces, while collecting 29 digs and two blocks in the Pioneers' 2-1 week. Jordyn Robichaurd, libero for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, was named the MCAC North Division Defensive Athlete of the Week honoree. Robichaurd dug 49 balls, averaging 4.9 digs per set, while also serving four aces and assisting on nine kills, as the Voyageurs went 3-0 during the week.
