The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its football athlete of the week awards for the week of October 13-19.
Bobby Jackson, wide receiver for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned an Offensive Player of the Week award. Jackson caught 12 passes for 137 yards. He averaged 11.4 yards per catch in the Yellowjackets win over North Dakota State College of Science. Osten Jones, quarterback for Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range, earned the other Offensive Player of the Week honor. Jones completed 10 of 14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown in the Norse win against Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He also ran 21 times for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
T'Kyerian Gray, linebacker for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned this week's Defensive Player of the Week honor. Gray had twelve total tackles, nine solo and three assists. He now has 45 tackles on the season.
Noah Washington, kicker returner for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned the Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award. Washington had four kickoff returns for a total of 144 yards, an average of 36 yards per return in the Yellowjackets' win.
