The 2025 Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Football playoffs begin Sunday, October 26, with six of the conference's seven teams competing to advance out of the quarterfinal round. All MCAC Football teams will battle it out over the next three weekends to determine the Region 13 Champion. The MCAC/Region 13 championship game is scheduled for November 9 at Rochester Community and Technical College.
Rochester Community and Technical College claimed the top seed in the post-season tournament after defeating North Dakota State College of Science 41-40 one week ago in Wahpeton, ND. With the win, Rochester claimed the MCAC regular season championship and the #1 seed overall. The Yellowjackets will have a bye in the quarterfinal round and advance directly to the semifinals on Sunday, November 2. RCTC is 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the MCAC, and their one loss comes at the hands of the top-ranked team in the nation, College of DuPage. Rochester is currently ranked #2 in the NJCAA DIII Football poll. They will host the winner of the #4 vs. #5 game in the semifinals.
North Dakota State College of Science is the #2 seed in the playoffs with their 5-1 record in MCAC play and 7-1 overall record. On Sunday, the Wildcats will host the 7th-seeded Ironhawks of Minnesota North College - Vermilion, who finished 0-6 overall and 0-6 in the MCAC.
Minnesota West Community and Technical College earned the #3 seed in this year's tournament, posting a 4-3 overall record and 4-2 record in the MCAC. The Bluejays will host the #6-seeded Minnesota State Community and Technical College Spartans in Sunday's matchup. The Spartans finished the regular season with a 2-5 overall and 2-4 MCAC record. They tied for fourth place in the conference with Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range and Central Lakes, and after a draw was done for seeding, the Spartans received the #6 seed.
Minnesota North College - Mesabi Range picked up the #4 seed (after a tiebreaking draw was completed) with a 2-4 overall record and 2-4 record in the MCAC. They finished tied for fourth place in the MCAC this season. The Norse will host the 5th-seeded Central Lakes College Raiders on Sunday, who are 2-6 overall and 2-4 in the MCAC , and also finished fourth in the MCAC.
All MCAC playoff games are played at the highest-seeded team in the pairing. Game times are noted below.
