RCTC and NDSCS Meet in Rochester to Determine the 2025 MCAC/Region 13 Football Champion

The MCAC/Region 13 Championship Football Game will be played at 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Rochester, MN, at the Rochester Regional Stadium.  North Dakota State College of Science will travel to Rochester to square off against Rochester Community and Technical College for the MCAC/Region 13 title and the opportunity to play in the NJCAA DIII Football National Championship Game.

Rochester Community and Technical College is the top seed in this season's MCAC Playoffs and is ranked #2 in the NJCAA DIII football rankings. The Yellowjackets hold an 8-1 overall record and finished the conference season at 6-0, winning the regular season title. They are led by 2025 MCAC Coach of the Year, Terrence Isaac Sr., and advanced to the MCAC/Region 13 Championship Game after defeating Central Lakes College in the MCAC Playoff Semifinals. The Yellowjackets are averaging 314.6 yards of offense per game this season and lead the MCAC in tackles per game, averaging 72.6. The Yellowjackets played in the NJCAA National Championship in 2023 but failed to advance to the MCAC Championship Game in 2024. They are looking to return to Glen Ellyn, IL, for another opportunity to win the national championship.

North Dakota State College of Science is ranked #3 in the NJCAA DIII football rankings and holds the #2 seed in the MCAC Playoffs. After picking up wins over Minnesota North College-Vermilion in the quarterfinals and #4 Minnesota West Community and Technical College in the semifinals, the Wildcats and head coach Eric Issendorf are looking to repeat as the MCAC Playoff Champions and earn one of two coveted spots in the NJCAA DIII Football National Championship Game. NDSCS played for the national championship in 2022 but was passed over for the title game last season after a stellar season. The Wildcats are 9-1 this season, and finished second in the MCAC regular season with a 5-1 record. Their only loss was at the hands of the Yellowjackets in a 41-40 hard-fought game. The Wilcats lead the MCAC in total offensive yards with 4,081 and have the stingiest defense, allowing only 197.7 yards per game and only 50.9 rushing yards per game.
