MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week - Week of March 9-15

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 9-15.

EllaGrace Kellerby, right-handed pitcher for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. Kellerby pitched 10.7 innings in four appearances. She gave up only two earned runs and six total runs, with 11 hits. Kellerby also struck out 11 batters and did not give up a walk. She had a 1.30 weekly ERA and defensively had four putouts and four assists. Kellerby added two runs and had an RBI and a walk while at the plate for the Voyageurs.

Grace Rust, outfielder for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Rust had 12 hits in 22 at-bats, averaging .545 for the week. She drove in one run and scored six. Rust walked twice and stole three bases, hitting in the lead-off spot. Defensively, she had a 1.000 fielding percentage for the Raiders.      

Zoey Clark, a right-handed pitcher for Rochester Community and Technical College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award. Clark gave up only six earned runs over 24.0 innings of work and struck out 16 batters. She went 1-2 in four appearances, giving up 27 hits and 23 runs, while walking 11. Clark had an ERA of 1.5 for the week.

There were no nominations for this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.
