The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 16-22.
Central Lakes College right-handed pitcher Morgan Kloss earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. In two starts, Kloss picked up two more wins this season by striking out 12 batters over 10 innings. She did not give up an earned run or a walk and gave up only five hits and three unearned runs. Kloss also went 5 for 12 at the plate, with two doubles, a home run, and six RBI for the week.
Baylee Castillo, third baseman for Minnesota North College - Rainy River, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Castillo went 7 for 13 at the plate, hitting .538 for the week. She hit three doubles and drove in six runs. Castillo also scored six runs, walked once, and stole a base. She had two putouts and six assists defensively for the Voyageurs.
There were no nominations for this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award.
There were also no nominations for this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.
