MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of March 23-29

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 23-29.

Central Lakes College right-handed pitcher Joze Tautges earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. Tautges started two games for the Raiders and went 2-0 during the week. She pitched 12 innings, giving up 10 runs on 18 hits, while striking out 20 batters. Tautges only walked three batters. She also hit .571 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Lily Roehl, first baseman for Central Lakes College, earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. In 14 at-bats, Roehl had 8 hits, compiling a batting average of .571. She hit two triples and a home run, drove in 8 runs, and scored 6. She was also hit by a pitch. Roehl had no errors defensively, playing every inning at first base.        

Zoey Stephany, a right-handed pitcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award. Stephany picked up a win and a save this week, starting one game in the circle and appearing in two others. She gave up no earned runs and only four hits through 6.1 innings of work. Stephany struck out 10 batters and walked 3. Defensively, she had a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Rochester Community and Technical College right-handed pitcher Zoey Clark was named this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week honoree. Clark had 14 at-bats and picked up 9 hits, hitting .643 on the week. She had two doubles and 3 home runs, driving in 10 runs and scoring 6. Clark also started four games as the Yellowjackets pitcher.
