MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of March 30 - April 5

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of March 30 - April 5.

There were no nominations for this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. 

There were also no nominations for this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award.        

Emma Shelton, a right-handed pitcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award. In her two starts and 10 innings in the circle, Shelton earned two wins during the week. She pitched a complete game against Anoka-Ramsey CC. For the week, Shelton struck out five batters while giving up only five earned runs, eight hits, and five walks. 

Allie Leither, an outfielder for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, was selected for this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week honor. Leither collected six hits in eight at-bats, hitting .750 for the week. She hit three doubles and a home run, while driving in three runs and scoring three. Leither also had three putouts with no errors in the outfield.
