The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its baseball weekly awards for the week of March 30 - April 5.
There were no nominations for this week's MCAC South Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week award.
Ryan Jeffrey, third baseman for Century College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Baseball Position Player of the Week award. Jeffrey picked up six hits in his even at-bats, hitting .857 on the week. He had a double, a triple, and a home run, while driving in six runs and scoring three. He also walked once. Jeffrey hit for the cycle in the second game of a doubleheader against Northland Community and Technical College.
Josh Kingery, a left-handed pitcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, earned this week's MCAC Central Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor. In his one starting appearance on the mound, Kingery threw 4.1 innings without giving up a run. He struck out seven batters and walked only one, while giving up two hits in the win. Kingery also hit well, going 5 for 10 at the plate with one home run, 8 RBI, 5 runs, and 3 walks.
Jaxon Barker, catcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, was named this week's MCAC Central Division Baseball Position Player of the Week honoree. Barker had six hits in 10 at-bats, hitting .600 for the week. He had a double and a home run, while driving in five runs and scoring 5 runs. Barker walked once and was hit by three pitches.
There were no nominations for this week's MCAC North Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week award.
Northland Community and Technical College second baseman, Jeremiah Vallejo, earned the week's MCAC North Division Baseball Position Player of the Week award. Vallejo went two for four at the plate, hitting .500 on the week. He drove in two runs and scored three, while walking twice. Vellejo also stole a base, which was his fifth of the season.
