MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of April 6-12

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of April 6-12.

Central Lakes College right-handed pitcher Jenna Dykhoff earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. Dykhoff, in her three appearances and two starts, went 3-0 for the week, pitching 15 innings. She struck out three batters and gave up nine earned runs and three unearned. Dykhoff gave up 19 hits and walked seven batters. She also hit .555 with five doubles and nine RBI this week.

With very comparable stats, two Central Lakes College athletes were named this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week honorees. Lauren Soltis, third baseman, went 18 for 29 at the plate, hitting .620, with five doubles and six triples. She drove in 15 runs and scored 10. Megan Hattenberger, second baseman, also hit .620, going 17 for 26 at the plate. She had two doubles and three triples with 13 RBI and 13 runs scored.        

Cordelia Johnson, a right-handed pitcher for Anoka-Ramsey Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week award. Johnson appeared in four games, starting two, and she went 3-0 for the week. Johnson struck out 33 batters and gave up only four earned runs in nearly 22 innings in the circle. She gave up 16 hits and 12 walks. Johnson also hit .333 and drove in four runs, while scoring three.

Maggie Wozniak, a catcher for St. Cloud Technical and Community College, earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Wozniak hit .529, going 9 for 17 at the plate. She hit three doubles, two triples, and drove in nine runs, while scoring nine. Wozniak walked four times and stole two bases. Wozniak leads the MCAC South in doubles with 12 this season.
