MCAC Softball Athletes of the Week: Week of April 13-19

Rochester, MN - 

The Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) has released its softball weekly awards for the week of April 13-19.

Central Lakes College right-handed pitcher Joze Tautges earned this week's MCAC North Division Softball Pitcher of the Week award. In three starting appearances, Tautges pitched 15 innings and earned three wins. She gave up six earned runs, one unearned run, and struck out 15 batters. Tautges surrendered 17 hits and walked five batters in the three wins. She also went 7 for 12 from the plate with six RBI. 

Central Lakes College second baseman Megan Hattenberger was named this week's MCAC North Division Softball Position Player of the Week award-winner. Hattenberger went 9 for 16 from the plate, hitting .563 on the week. She hit two doubles and drove in five runs. Hattenberger also scored 10 runs and walked seven times. She stole two bases and helped her team go 5-1 for the week.         

St. Cloud Technical and Community College right-handed pitcher Emma Shelton earned this week's MCAC South Division Pitcher of the Week honor. Shelton took the circle for 10 innings over two games, both starts, and earned two wins. She gave up five earned runs and two unearned runs, 10 hits, and only two walks, and struck out six batters. Shelton has a 10-1 record this season.

Rochester Community and Technical College right-handed pitcher Zoey Clark earned this week's MCAC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week award. Clark hit .642, going 9 for 14 at the plate. She hit two doubles, two triples, and two home runs. Clark also drove in 14 runs and scored seven. On the mound, Clark threw 10 innings and struck out 11 batters.
